Job Description:

We’re thrilled to present this exceptional opportunity for an experienced Laundress/Wardrobe Manager to join a prestigious UHNW family in their beautiful home in Knightsbridge, London. This position is perfect for a meticulous professional who takes pride in the highest standards of garment care and wardrobe management. The family, made up of a Principal couple and their late teenage children, are known for being warm and relaxed whilst maintaining exacting standards, and they seek someone who is highly motivated with a genuine passion for laundry and wardrobe management. The Laundress/Wardrobe Manager will be supported by a wider household team and there is also a dog and a cat in residence. Start date: ASAP.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete responsibility for all laundry and wardrobe management duties across the household
  • Expert hand washing and delicate care of luxury garments and fabrics
  • Precision ironing and pressing to the highest standards
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of different fabric types and their specific care requirements
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including checking all pockets before laundering
  • Wardrobe organisation and maintenance for the family
  • Collaborate with other household staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Adapt working patterns when the Principals are travelling
  • Opportunity to travel with the family for up to six weeks a year (two week periods to Sardinia and St. Moritz)

Requirements:

  • Experience in similar position within UHNW private households/yacht/luxury setting
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Exceptional knowledge of fabrics, garment care, and traditional laundry techniques
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to going the extra mile
  • Tech savvy and motivated to maintain high standards consistently
  • Confident, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Applicants must live within a 1hr commute of the property
