International expansion team: team evaluates whether to enter a market, launches and scales within it. Phases: select new markets (evaluate, business case, go/no-go); launch new markets (post-due-diligence to first patient); scale launched markets (P&L ownership, data-driven bets).
Job Responsibility
Selecting new markets: evaluate new markets, build business case, make go/no-go call
Launching new markets: own a market from post-due-diligence to first patient
Scaling launched markets: win in launched markets by placing data-driven bets and owning P&L
If selecting new markets: full due diligence process (competitive landscape, regulatory, commercial sizing, pharmacy infrastructure, pharma partnership opportunities), meet with potential partners and experts, synthesize into investment thesis
If launching new markets: end-to-end owner of market launch from first local hire to first patient acquired, navigate systems and regulatory environments, build local team, sign first pharmacy partner, manage workstreams
If scaling launched markets: own P&L, run experiments to improve funnel, make data-driven bets, hire and develop local talent, hold accountable to OKRs
Requirements
At least 2+ years experience working in a high pressure environment such as law, consulting (MBB preferred) or investment banking or 3+ years working as an operator, preferably in a recent high-growth startup
Commercial modelling: You can build a commercial model from scratch, make your assumptions explicit, and defend them
Business understanding & due diligence: You quickly grasp what makes a market successful for Eucalyptus, what the unit economics depend on, and how different markets compare
Due diligence: You can research a new market independently and produce a clear, structured answer
Negotiation: You've had real commercial conversations with partners, suppliers, pharma companies and moved them forward
Project management: You've run complex cross-functional workstreams with real accountability
Communication: You write tight investment theses and clear slide decks
Founder mindset: You operate like a founder and enjoy the hustle of getting things done
