Job Description:

The Launch Process Technician position will be a point person for all GA launch related activities and be the liaison between production and engineering, leading and integrating manufacturing change to support GMD’s progress and market competitiveness.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports the Virtual Engineering activity by representing production concerns and confirming repeatability
  • Incorporate new content into current process
  • Learn to build launch vehicles
  • Own & Drive Build Readiness
  • Owning and driving resolution of build issues
  • Responsible for Trial Runs, Engineering Tryouts, Engineering Work Orders, TWOs/PWOs etc. during the launch process
  • Initiate and complete SQS/SOS/JES requirements
  • Supports and executes all elements of Operation Readiness for General Assembly
  • Utilize Teamcenter Visualization
  • Train and coach and support production team in all aspects of the build process
  • Support assembly part presentation strategy for production
  • Understanding plant initiated DIT's (Design Issue Tracker) and coordinating resolutions with the DRE's at the Warren, Michigan Engineering Center
  • Exhibit active participation as a member of the Launch Team and attends all Launch Team meetings, including the daily build wrap-up meetings
  • Be able to work cross-collaboratively

Requirements:

3 years experience in an automotive manufacturing or related environment

Nice to have:

  • ISV product build experience
  • GVDP knowledge or experience
  • Teamcenter Visualization Experience or Similar Software Experience
