Great Hearts currently provides over 30,000 K-12 students with access to a high quality, classical liberal arts education. We believe the highest goal of education is to become good, intellectually, and morally. Latin is not an elective at Great Hearts, but part of the core curriculum. All Great Hearts students study Latin from 6th through 8th grade, and several continue in the classics track in high school, with advanced Latin and Ancient Greek (others study a modern language for four years of high school). Many academies offer Latin at K-5 as well. Latin provides an essential foundation for our academies' focus on the Western tradition through its incorporation of history and culture.
