We are seeking a Lateral Recruiting Specialist to support strategic lateral hiring efforts within a Chicago-based office. This is a hybrid role, with three days onsite and two days remote, and offers a salary range of $90K-$120K depending on experience. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for lateral candidates, guiding them through the full recruiting lifecycle from initial outreach through onboarding and integration. This is a high-visibility, partner-facing position that requires a strong service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver a high-touch, 'white glove' candidate experience. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 3-5+ years of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services environment who is looking to step into a more strategic role focused on lateral partner hiring.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruiting, from outreach through offer and onboarding
Serve as a primary point of contact for lateral candidates, ensuring a seamless and high-touch experience
Partner closely with internal stakeholders to support lateral hiring strategies
Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and offer processes
Track candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system
Support onboarding and integration efforts for new hires
Collaborate across teams to support national recruiting initiatives
Assist with reporting, process improvements, and ongoing recruiting initiatives
Requirements:
3-5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
Prior experience with lateral attorney recruiting strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS or similar preferred)
Strong client-service mindset with a sense of ownership over work
