Job Description:

We are seeking a Lateral Recruiting Specialist to support strategic lateral hiring efforts within a Chicago-based office. This is a hybrid role, with three days onsite and two days remote, and offers a salary range of $90K-$120K depending on experience. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for lateral candidates, guiding them through the full recruiting lifecycle from initial outreach through onboarding and integration. This is a high-visibility, partner-facing position that requires a strong service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver a high-touch, 'white glove' candidate experience. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 3-5+ years of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services environment who is looking to step into a more strategic role focused on lateral partner hiring.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruiting, from outreach through offer and onboarding
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for lateral candidates, ensuring a seamless and high-touch experience
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to support lateral hiring strategies
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and offer processes
  • Track candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system
  • Support onboarding and integration efforts for new hires
  • Collaborate across teams to support national recruiting initiatives
  • Assist with reporting, process improvements, and ongoing recruiting initiatives

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Prior experience with lateral attorney recruiting strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS or similar preferred)
  • Strong client-service mindset with a sense of ownership over work
