The Shop Associate (Late Night) is responsible for supporting warehouse operations during evening hours, including charging vehicle batteries, conducting basic inspections, and monitoring incoming fleet activity. This role ensures that all returned units are properly processed, organized, and prepared for redeployment the following day. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with routine maintenance checks and supporting overall shop organization. The position requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a low-supervision environment.
Job Responsibility:
Charge and manage batteries for returned vehicles to ensure readiness for next-day deployment
Conduct basic inspections on incoming scooters/bikes (damage, safety, functionality)
Monitor and log inbound fleet activity (units returned by drivers)
Organize and stage vehicles within the warehouse for efficient workflow
Identify and flag units requiring maintenance or repair
Support minor maintenance tasks as assigned (e.g., battery swaps, basic checks)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse/shop area
Track and report inventory levels (batteries, parts, etc.) as needed
Follow all safety protocols while working independently during overnight hours
Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or operational concerns to management
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse, operations, or similar hands-on role is an asset
Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with tools/equipment preferred
Ability to perform routine inspections and follow checklists accurately
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues or irregularities
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work overnight shifts
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
Ability to lift and move equipment (scooters/bikes) as required
Familiarity with tracking/logging tasks (paper or digital) is an asset
Strong communication skills to report issues and updates clearly
