Job Description

Leading at Uber means setting direction in motion, not waiting for perfect conditions. As the LATAM Regional Security Center (LSC) Manager, you won't be managing from a polished playbook; you will carry the weight of real-world decisions that safeguard our people, places, and brand across a highly dynamic and volatile landscape. The environment is intense, high-stakes, and complex. You will oversee a 24/7 security operations engine that translates massive streams of real-time security data into immediate, decisive intelligence and response. This role demands an owner’s mindset, unshakeable grit, and the adaptability to navigate massive ambiguity under immense pressure. If you are looking for a standard corporate security role where the parameters are fixed, this isn't it. But if you are energized by the challenge of managing operational complexity and have the resilience to lead teams through high-stakes crises, this is where you'll make your mark.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and sustain a high-performing, 24/7 team of security center operators and analysts, driving operational excellence and accountability across real-time employee life safety monitoring
  • Navigate the messiness of rapid crisis situations, making quick, thoughtful trade-offs and decisions with imperfect or evolving info to protect physical assets and operations
  • Unblock communication barriers by collaborating cross-functionally with threat and intelligence teams to synthesize disjointed security data into clear, actionable intelligence products
  • Own your region’s operational metrics, managing tight SLA standards, tracking performance goals, and aligning center workflows with shifting global security policies
  • Build and bridge critical external partnerships and internal stakeholder networks, using data-driven insights to influence decisions, manage friction, and maintain deep credibility
  • Foster an inclusive culture within a high-pressure team, coaching operators to stay steady, show up with intention daily, and continuously raise the execution bar

Requirements

  • Experience with threat analysis management, security operations, or emergency response leadership in a 24/7 Watch Center, Fusion Center, or equivalent quick-response environment
  • Professional fluency in both written and spoken Spanish and English to successfully communicate across local regions and global executive stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Proven track record of leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) and guiding complex physical security investigations through to resolution
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple high-stakes initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent business judgment and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to align multiple partners with conflicting priorities during critical incidents
  • A collaborative mindset rooted in integrity, transparency, and accountability—willing to disagree and commit for the greater good of Uber's mission
