The Laboratory Automation Services (LAS) Operations Process Planner I will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of key operational initiatives within our LAS Service Operations team. The primary objective of this role is to assist with executing project tasks or working with leadership to identify resources that allow us to optimize equipment/service delivery processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. This position will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring the highest level of service quality.
Job Responsibility:
Support fact-based decision-making and measurement of operational effectiveness and/or economics of company initiatives
Participate in and support departmental projects for new labs and product lines for space planning, equipment purchases, equipment service contracts, and spare parts forecasts
Evaluate the economic and/or operational impact of new service processes and/or strategies
Assist project teams with breaking project work into manageable packages and organizing into a project schedule
Provide necessary support for process improvement initiatives within the Laboratory Automation Service Operations department
Coordinate and provide communication updates to key stakeholders, management, and project teams
Create workflows to show service inventory requirements to support planned and unplanned service events to scale with growth
Review processes for scheduling of planned events as input to service inventory and service capacity planning
Review available reports to determine material supply needs and take appropriate actions to meet those needs while considering overall inventory investment
Work with cross-functional teams to improve and maintain in inventory cycle counting process
assist with physical counts, as needed
Help identify end-of-life parts and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to assess impact and develop a strategy for moving forward
Contribute to maintaining vendor relationships while working with LAS Procurement and Supply Chain teams to analyze lead times for accuracy, resolve backorders, and establish purchasing strategies
Ability to clearly communicate to other departments and teams, as necessary, to drive alignment and visibility

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Operations, or related field
or Associate degree in Business Administration or Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 2 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, project management, service operations, or related fields
Including 1+ years of experience leading project teams and/or directing people without direct authority
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel macros and pivot tables, PowerPoint, and Visio
