Job Description:

Meta is building the next generation of computing platforms, with people at the center of everything we do. Our teams are advancing innovation through research and development in emerging technologies, striving to make our products accessible and relevant to users worldwide. The Internationalization (i18n) team plays a vital role in removing language barriers and enabling global access to Meta’s products. With our platforms available in over 100 languages and 88% of users outside North America, we are committed to thinking local and scaling global. We are seeking an experienced Vietnamese Language Manager to join the Language Management team within i18n. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the localization quality of Vietnamese (vi_VN) across Meta products and content. Your expertise in translation and localization—especially for consumer devices and gaming—will help us deliver an outstanding linguistic experience for our Vietnamese audience. If you are passionate about high-quality localization and creating great user experiences for a global audience, we invite you to apply.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review, edit, and/or translate high-visibility UI and long-form content for Meta apps and experiences (English-to-Vietnamese)
  • Design and support LLM quality guidelines, evaluations, and AI-related tasks (including evaluations and trainings)
  • Perform localization screenshot and hands-on linguistic testing on web and mobile devices to identify linguistic and functional issues
  • Collaborate with product teams, Localization Program Management, and in-country stakeholders to support product launches and ensure end-to-end linguistic quality
  • Drive product/vertical-specific language quality initiatives and cross-functional quality frameworks at scale
  • Select, ramp up, and monitor translation vendors, including managing performance and supporting vendor probation through our quality framework
  • Build and scale stakeholder education programs for internal partners and external vendors to ensure language quality
  • Maintain and update localization glossaries, style guides, and translation memories (TMs) for owned content
  • Perform other linguistic tasks as needed
  • Travel domestically or internationally to Meta offices and/or business sites as required

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Vietnamese for effective communication with vendors, cross-functional teams, and end-users in Vietnam
  • 5+ years of experience in English-to-Vietnamese translation, product UI localization, linguistic reviews, and translation quality management
  • Experience creating and maintaining linguistic assets (terminology, style guides, etc.) to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Familiarity with popular and social trends from Vietnam, to ensure appropriate translation
  • Familiarity with CAT tools for translation and linguistic reviews
  • Experience localizing online and mobile products from English to Vietnamese, with experience detecting and resolving language-specific issues
  • Cross-functional experience working with engineers, product teams, and regional stakeholders/clients to resolve language-specific issues

Nice to have:

  • Cross-functional experience with engineers, product teams, and regional stakeholders
  • Experience in AI evaluations, annotations, and related activities
  • Experience in AR, VR, smart home devices, hardware localization/testing, and gaming content localization
  • Experience in localization program/project management
  • Familiarity with digital marketing
  • Knowledge of additional languages beyond Vietnamese and English
