Job Description:

Baptist Health is currently hiring a Spanish/English Language Interpreter in our Office of Interpreting Service at Baptist Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. This position may also involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents. As a Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English. You will work with a diverse group of people across the entire health system, working with numerous cultures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English
  • Over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents

Requirements:

  • Three-Five Years Interpreting Experience Required
  • Three-Five Years Foreign Language Experience Required
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Medical Translater Certificate (highly preferred)
