Job Description

The Lane Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the auction lanes, ensuring vehicle movement, and coordinating with auctioneers, Lane Assistants, and other team members. This role manages lane assignments, coordinates vehicle placements, and ensures communication and workflow within the auction lanes.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and coordinate the assignment of vehicles to specific auction lanes
  • Collaborate with auctioneers, Lane Assistants, and other staff
  • Oversee the placement and movement of vehicles
  • Provide guidance and support to Lane Assistants
  • Verify and record vehicle information
  • Communicate effectively with auctioneers, buyers, sellers, and other staff
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of auction paperwork
  • Monitor and manage the physical condition of vehicles within the auction lanes
  • Ensure compliance with auction procedures, policies, and safety guidelines
  • Provide training and guidance to new Lane Assistants
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the car auction industry or related role
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to work in auction lot setting, including moving for most of the day
  • Able to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
