Job Description:

The Landscaper supervisor is an hourly staff position within the Landscape department. The main focus of this position is to perform, and supervise those who perform maintenance on the property grounds. This person must be proactive in their approach to solving daily challenges. The Landscaper supervisor will also perform other duties within the department as directed by the Landscaping Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform landscaping maintenance and supervisory duties including, but not limited to, planting, transplanting, pruning, mowing, seeding, weeding and irrigating
  • Perform inspection of sprinkler system, make repairs and monitor plant or sod water needs
  • Perform necessary duties for the eradication of nuisance plant material by mechanical or chemical methods
  • The landscaper will have to meet all challenges with a positive and proactive attitude
  • The landscaper will have to perform work so that it is done on time and satisfactorily to all parties concerned
  • The landscaper will perform other duties within the department at the discretion of Landscaping Manager
  • Spray application of pesticides and herbicides

Requirements:

  • Must possess ability to follow instructions
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow safety procedures
  • Must have the ability to adequately and safely operate gas and electric power tools as well as hand tools applicable to the trade
