Landscape Manager for an award-winning, eco-luxury boutique resort in Pahang, defined by its setting on a rehabilitated wetland estate with private lake villas.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and manage the comprehensive landscape maintenance plan for the resort
Monitor the health and vitality of all flora, implementing proactive pest and disease management and recommending specialized care or replacements
Provide technical support for new landscape projects, design, and implementation, utilizing expert knowledge of plants, soil science, and irrigation systems
Lead, supervise, and mentor the landscaping team (including task allocation and scheduling) in executing all daily maintenance functions (e.g., mowing, pruning, fertilizing)
Ensure the operation, maintenance, and safe storage of all landscaping tools, vehicles, and equipment
Maintain accurate operational records (schedules, planting logs, expenses) and stay current on industry trends and best practices
Manage the resort's composting program and organic waste processes
Collaborate with the F&B team to develop and maintain the on-site herb and vegetable garden using sustainable/organic practices
Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Horticulture, Estate Management, Landscape Management or a related field
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in professional landscape management for high-end resorts, golf courses, luxury residential estates or botanical gardens
At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, managing a team of grounds staff
Proficient knowledge of irrigation systems maintenance and the safe operation of landscaping equipment
