Job Description:

Full-time Landscape Gardener position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in Copacabana NSW 2251. Key Landscaping Pty Ltd is a trusted provider of landscape design, construction, and maintenance services across the Central Coast and Sydney’s North Shore. We specialise in creating functional and beautiful outdoor spaces while offering ongoing garden and property care to keep landscapes thriving year-round. With an emphasis on quality gardening and maintenance, our team is dedicated to delivering reliable, high-standard workmanship for both residential and commercial clients. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Gardener to plan and construct garden landscapes for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties from initial site preparation to the construction of garden features and ongoing maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing plans and drawings, selecting appropriate materials and plants, and scheduling landscape construction projects
Setting out and installing hardscape and softscape structures
Constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture
Preparing seedbeds and growing sites for new plantings
Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass, or by laying instant turf
Propagating and planting a variety of trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs
Maintaining planted and grassed areas by weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing
Pruning trees and hedges to ensure health and shape and installing plant support and protection devices as required
Examining trees and plants to assess their condition and determine appropriate treatment for pests, diseases, or other issues
Spraying and dusting plants and trees to control insects and disease and felling diseased trees where necessary
Lopping limbs off trees and shaping branches using chain and handsaws

Requirements:

Proven experience in landscape construction and horticulture
Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and drawings
Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, and horticultural best practices
Proficiency in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and tools
Excellent physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Relevant qualification or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum 1 year of work experience on relevant position
