As part of the Landscape Construction Division, you’ll play a crucial role in crafting landscapes using a range of tools, from hand tools to heavy equipment. You will work with diverse materials, including rock, concrete, live plants, and trees, while mastering various landscape construction techniques.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist foreman in all aspects of site and crew management
  • Determine requirements for staff, tools, equipment and materials for projects alongside the foreman
  • Create trucking lists and organize site deliveries
  • Train and teach crew members on various construction and safety skills
  • Operate and maintain various tools and equipment
  • Complete accurate site layouts
  • Lead daily toolbox talks
  • Monitor and promote public and worker safety on site
  • Ensure proper reporting of any safety concerns or incidents
  • Motivate and manage a crew to complete tasks
  • Train Lead Hand on various aspects and responsibilities you have for their career progression
  • Formulate a plan of action based on the project’s requirements and drawings
  • Schedule delivery and staging of materials in conjunction with the Logistics Manager
  • Coordinate and plan with equipment rentals and subcontractors as required for the project
  • Train, operate and maintain various tools and equipment
  • Complete various inspections of equipment and work sites daily
  • Handle and communicate change work requests and client concerns
  • Coordinate safety efforts with management
  • Oversee emergency response procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation

  • Understand the various types of landscape construction
  • Operate various tools and equipment needed for the specific project scope
