Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Illinois
5-7 years of experience practicing environmental law, with a strong background in regulatory compliance, transactional work, and/or litigation

Job Responsibility

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents related to environmental concerns
Assist clients in obtaining permits and navigating regulations related to land redevelopment, hazardous waste management, and emissions compliance
Handle environmental due diligence for real estate transactions and corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Represent clients in administrative proceedings and litigation before courts and regulatory agencies
Stay current with new and evolving regulations, laws, and industry trends to provide proactive advice and solutions to clients
Build and maintain relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional legal service
