This position is a "Surveyor in Training" role, where you learn to be a Surveyor by supporting a Surveyor perform boundary surveys and staking. We are looking for a motivated individual who likes to be out in "the field" and is dedicated, loyal, hard-working, and gets satisfaction out of a full day's work. Working conditions could be indoor or outdoor and the job is subject to extreme weather conditions.
Job Responsibility:
Check with Crew Chief for daily scope of work
Load any and all needed equipment (GPS equipment, batteries, radios, metrotech, total station, hard hats, steel toe boots & other PPE)
Top off and load needed survey supplies (Lath, paint, flagging spikes, red/white flags, posts & any other necessities)
Ensure the company vehicle is clean and ready to go for the day
Be prepared to drive to and from the job site
Set up and tear down GPS base, carry all the supplies in a lath bag, backpack or belt
Make sure to have enough water and anything else you may need throughout the day
Unload and put away equipment
Charge batteries
Check with Crew Chief before going home
Monday’s time is due for the previous week worked

Friday’s should be a day to clean equipment (Unload and wipe down GPS, wash trucks, and clean office, bathrooms and shop areas)
Check with all Crew Chiefs to see if there is anything needing to be done
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
6+ months experience as a Surveying Assistant (Preferred)
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift 75 lbs
Honest, Professional, Organized, Pays Attention to detail, Dependability, Thoroughness, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Safety Conscious, Strong Work Ethic, Self-driven with little or no supervision
Must have current and valid drivers license with MVR that meets Company requirements
Must be willing and able to enroll in the DISA Compliance & Policy program
Must be able to walk for long periods of time and/or operate ATV’s through a variety of terrains
