Job Description:

Are you a proactive labourer looking to get in on the ground floor of a major new project? We are recruiting for a reliable individual to assist with the initial site setup of a commercial job in York. This is a key role during the mobilisation phase, requiring someone who can follow instructions precisely and help establish a safe, organised site from day one.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with the installation of site hoarding, fencing, and pedestrian barriers
Helping to set up site offices, welfare facilities, and storage units
Marking out walkways and ensuring clear access for incoming plant and machinery
Receiving and organising initial deliveries of materials and equipment
General heavy lifting and site clearance to ensure a clean start for all trades

Requirements:

Valid CSCS card (Essential)
Previous experience on commercial construction sites
Experience in site setup or enabling works is highly desirable
Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots)
A strong, proactive work ethic-this phase moves fast
Ability to pass a standard site induction and follow strict health and safety protocols
