Job Description:

Are you an experienced Labourer looking for more than just "general" site tidying? We are seeking a key operative to join a flagship commercial development in Leeds City Centre. This is a long-term contract position for a proactive individual who can take ownership of tasks and act as a right-hand to the Site Management team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plot & Area Ownership: Managing specific floors or zones, ensuring they are ready for upcoming trades
  • Complex Material Logistics: Coordinating the movement of high-value commercial materials (glass, steel, partitions) using mechanical aids
  • Trade Coordination: Working closely with subcontractors to ensure they have the access and materials needed
  • Site Safety Leadership: Assisting with the installation of edge protection, fire stopping, and maintaining critical safety walkways
  • Site Management Support: Assisting the Foreman with daily logs, delivery intake, and site inspections

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card (Green or Blue)
  • Proven significant experience on large-scale commercial or industrial sites
  • Experience with power tools, basic hand tools, or specialized tasks like fire stopping or mastic work
  • Additional certifications such as Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, or First Aid
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with power tools, basic hand tools, or specialized tasks like fire stopping or mastic work
  • Additional certifications such as Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, or First Aid
