Labourer

• Loading, unloading and identify building materials, machinery or tools and distributing them to the appropriate locations
• Cleaning and preparing the jobsite
• Taking direction and working independently to complete assigned tasks
• Mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Helping equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary
• Putting together and taking apart temporary structures

• A minimum of 1-year previous experience as a general laborer in the construction industry is required
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks is required
• Ability to work in all weather is required
• Must be safety conscious
• Must possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities
• Must have a valid and clean Driver’s license and be willing to travel to various sites
• Must have a proven ability to take initiative and be respectful of diversity

Previous commercial and/or institutional construction experience is preferred
