Job Description:

We have exciting opportunities within Brisbane City Council Cemeteries to work as a Labourer / Operator who can work in Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs. As part of the team, you will be working on various projects in and around Brisbane.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake burial duties and responsibilities within Toowong Cemetery and surrounding areas
  • Work on various projects in and around Brisbane

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to lift objects or items in excess of 25kg
  • Operate heavy machinery (Excavator, Digger, Tipper, etc) on a regular basis
  • Perform burial operations
  • excavate and maintain burial sites, replace soil and vegetation
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable
  • Enjoy providing high-quality work
  • Strong sense of teamwork
  • Commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines
  • C Class Licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Excavator Ticket

Nice to have:

  • Truck Licence (MR, HR, HC, MC)
  • Any other Tickets/Licenses (Certificates in Horticulture, Chainsaw, ACDC, etc)
  • Backhoe Ticket
