Job Description:

As a Labourer you are responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the business by performing a variety of manual tasks. This includes loading, unloading, and moving rental equipment, maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Depot and workshop areas, and assisting in basic equipment maintenance and inspections. Your role is crucial in ensuring that equipment is ready for hire in a timely manner, contributing to excellent customer service and the overall success of Nixon Hire.

Job Responsibility:

  • supporting the efficient operation of the business by performing a variety of manual tasks
  • loading, unloading, and moving rental equipment
  • maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Depot and workshop areas
  • assisting in basic equipment maintenance and inspections
  • ensuring equipment is ready for hire in a timely manner
  • ensuring workshop area / canteen / washrooms / yard areas are kept clean and tidy
  • undertake general depot labouring duties
  • ensuring company assets are stored in the allocated areas as shown on each Depot Layout Plan
  • painting accommodation units and vehicles
  • emptying rubbish bins daily, loading rubbish and waste into skips
  • cleaning incoming toilets / accommodation units etc, recording details of excessively dirty items
  • cleaning accommodation units, toilets, and loading / cleaning furniture for accommodation units prior to despatch
  • delivering / collecting items to or from sites or suppliers
  • liaising with Stores Department to ensure adequate levels of cleaning equipment are maintained
