Job Description:

Telecommunication Worker will form part of the Field Delivery Team working as part of a team or as an individual contributor at times to Construct, Maintain & Decommission telecommunications networks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily
  • Working from ladders & EWP’s (Elevated Work Platform)
  • Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor
  • Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
  • Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport)
  • Building, Maintaining, and Decommissioning Telecommunication Networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility

Requirements:

  • Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (Boom Length 11 Metres or More) [WP]
  • Working safely at Heights
  • Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
  • Implement traffic management plan
  • Provide First Aid
  • Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis
  • Willing and able to work away from home from time to time

  • Set up materials on site to make them available to Line Technicians
  • Concrete/masonry work, rough carpentry, landscaping, tree trimming, as required
