This position will support the operations of the construction project by assisting the site crew with duties such as: carrying materials, spotting equipment during operation, using tools for bolt up, performing manual excavation/backfilling using shovels, applying coatings and rock shield to underground pipe, and operating small equipment at the direction of management. The position will also complete all other duties as assigned by the Foreman and/or Superintendent.
Job Responsibility:
Support the operations of the construction project by assisting the site crew with duties such as: carrying materials, spotting equipment during operation, using tools for bolt up, performing manual excavation/backfilling using shovels, applying coatings and rock shield to underground pipe, and operating small equipment at the direction of management
Works under immediate supervision in a team based environment
Reports any problems or issues to supervisor for assistance
Visually assists equipment operators by spotting during operation of equipment
Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner
Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Performs other functions/duties as required
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Roles requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to
eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety shoes
All other duties as assigned by the position’s direct supervisor
Requirements:
0-2 years of construction or related experience
Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment
Ability to learn and gain knowledge
Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions
Ability to adhere to Safety policies and procedures
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
Travel is required
Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
Frequent bending, twisting and standing
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
