Laborer

Alaska X is a leading provider of shore excursions in southeast Alaska. We operate many different tours/activities and build virtually all of the elements our excursion experiences in-house including retail buildings, zip-lines, suspension bridges, remote cabins, docks, and many other structures for commercial purposes! We are very dynamic and work on different projects frequently. We even have our own sawmill and are completing our first hydro-electric project that will power one of our camps! During the summer season, our company hosts approximately 150 seasonal staff members to provide our exceptional shore excursions and this position helps support what we do. We are looking for a qualified laborer to help cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. A laborer is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products, fix and maintain equipment and vehicles, and fix and maintain the equipment necessary to conduct our tours.
