As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in various construction projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that work sites are safe and organized. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the construction and demolition of structures as directed by supervisors
Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and cleaning work areas
Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to minimize hazards
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas as needed
Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
Previous experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions accurately
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone
Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment and construction traffic
Must be able to work long periods of continual standing or walking
Must have ability to bend, climb, kneel, and reach
Must have good balance and dexterity
Must have visual acuity to operate equipment and spot hazards
Must have ability to hear with or without assistance to understand instructions in noisy environments
Must be prepared to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random quarterly drug tests
Must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
