Job Description:

The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire experienced LABORERS (specializing in concrete, drainage/pipe, demolition, grading) in Northeast Ohio and Columbus Ohio for Ruhlin's Civil Division.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively and efficiently perform various work tasks
  • Work safely at all times
  • Interact with the Foreman frequently to receive instructions and supply requested information
  • Comply with Company health, safety and general policies and protocols
  • Assist in ensuring Company equipment is properly maintained through daily maintenance
  • Attend project and staff meetings and training as required
  • Keep Foreman informed of all issues related to safety or other workplace issues as needed
  • Perform additional assignments per Foreman's direction

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, regulations, machinery, tools and equipment used in area of work
  • Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures

  • Monitor and address sensitive or controversial employment topics within the U.S. framework, maintaining transparent communication with employees and management
  • Provide guidance to management on employment matters and address inquiries specifically related to U.S. labor laws, union relations, and workplace policies
  • Address employee queries regarding U.S. labor-related issues, including benefits, working hours, wage laws, and workplace conditions
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and resolve policy-related issues
  • Create and maintain accurate records of labor-related documents, such as employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and internal policies specific to U.S. employment law
