Job Description:

Our Lithium team is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join the laboratory team. As a Laboratory Technician you operate and maintain the site assay lab and will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples. This role will be on a 7 days on / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster, on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Ensure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teams
  • Inspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controls
  • Accurate and timely reporting of analytical results
  • Perform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limits
  • Ensuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety Standards
  • Contribute to daily PSI meetings
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request Register

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working in similar position within an automated laboratory environment
  • MSL40118 Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable)
  • Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environment

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
