Laboratory Technician

• Carry out a range of laboratory procedures with precision, adhering to strict quality and safety standards
• Prepare samples and test solutions for in vivo testing with cats and dogs
• Process biological materials (e.g, saliva, faeces) for analysis
• Assist in preparing supplements and pet food for trials
• Maintain accurate records using various digital systems (LIMS, Excel, XDL)
• Support research scientists with trial preparations and post-trial reviews
• Help develop and test new laboratory methodologies
• Attend team meetings and collaborate on trial updates

• Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) in a scientific subject
• further study (e.g., BSc) is desirable
• Previous lab experience through education or industry
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Able to manage multiple techniques and tasks within a single day
• Comfortable working to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
• Confident communicator and effective team player
• Computer literate with a proactive attitude to learning
