Saniona is looking for an experienced, structured, and responsible Laboratory Technician to join a newly established function within Neurophysiology. You will become part of an interdisciplinary research environment and play a central role in establishing, performing, and documenting in vivo electrophysiological studies, including EEG studies in rodents. Job Responsibility
Performing animal studies in mice and/or rats
Handling, observing, and dosing laboratory animals, including oral administration and injections
Working with EEG studies and in vivo electrophysiological measurements
Performing surgical procedures, such as implantation of electrodes in the brain, depending on your experience
Collecting samples such as blood and tissue, and potentially performing dissections
Monitoring animal welfare, including during longer-term studies
Recording and documenting studies in protocols and databases
Ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards, study licenses, internal SOPs, and applicable legislation
Contributing to the set-up, validation, and optimization of new techniques, assays, and laboratory procedures
Requirements
Experience with in-vivo work in mice and/or rats
A completed and valid laboratory animal science course, such as EU Function ABD/FELASA C or equivalent
Practical experience with handling, observing, and dosing laboratory animals
A structured, responsible, and detail-oriented working style
The ability to work independently while also contributing constructively to an interdisciplinary team
A willingness to perform both routine tasks and learn new techniques
Nice to have
EEG studies or other in vivo electrophysiology techniques
Surgical procedures in laboratory animals
Working in an industrial biotech or pharma setting
Long-term studies and systematic animal welfare monitoring
