Join Visibuilt to help develop the next generation of biobased materials for urban infrastructure. We are looking for a hands-on laboratory technician who can manage the testing or prototypes and move quickly from early test-setup to efficient material data collection to guide our experiments at Visibuilt. Location: Søborg, Greater Copenhagen (on-site). Start: As soon as possible. Type: Full-time employment. Core focus: Laboratory work focused on material testing, data collection, and equipment maintenance/calibration.
Job Responsibility:
Perform laboratory testing according to established standards and internal protocols
Execute mechanical tests including Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS), 3-point bending (flexural strength), Compressive and general strength testing
Conduct accelerated aging tests such as wet–dry cycles, freeze–thaw, and applied loading
Prepare, condition, and handle material samples prior to testing
Collect, process, and analyze test data, ensuring consistency and traceability
Document results in the electronic lab notebook and contribute to reporting
Support development and validation of new material formulations through systematic testing
Be the custodian of the laboratory equipment: ensure that maintenance and calibration is carried out, and generally make sure that the equipment is kept in good order
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with laboratory testing of materials
Familiarity with standard testing protocols (preferably for asphalt, concrete, or similar composite materials), experience with pavement-related standards and testing methods
Ability to work independently with structured experimental workflows
Strong attention to detail and data quality
Nice to have:
Candidates already based in Denmark, Southern Sweden or Northern Germany, with valid work permits for Denmark, will have an advantage
