Job Responsibility:
Prepare agar plates with antibiotics or selective media for spotting and plaquing assays
Perform serial dilutions and spotting assays for bacteria and bacteriophages
Prepare and manage overnight bacterial and phage cultures
Count and enumerate bacterial colonies and phage plaques with accuracy and consistency
Support the preparation of materials for in vitro assays, including work with cell lines, metabolites, and peptides
Assist the team in day-to-day experimental preparation, ensuring workflows run smoothly and on schedule
Record and document methods and results in electronic laboratory notebooks
Help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
Requirements:
Education as Laboratory Technician or similar
At least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience
Experience working with bacteria, including sterile technique, culturing and plating
Fluency in English, written and spoken
Ability to work carefully and consistently with repetitive, process-driven laboratory tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate execution and documentation
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple routine tasks in parallel
A collaborative and reliable working style
