Job Responsibility
Lead and empower: Manage the daily activities of the laboratory personnel responsible for testing raw materials, components, bulks, and finished goods, ensuring a seamless operational flow
Collaborate and solve: Act as the go-to Quality Control Supervisor, partnering daily with cross-functional departments to solve complex quality challenges and provide critical operational support
Champion quality investigations: Drive the Out of Specification (OOS) process by guiding your team through root-cause investigations, deviations, and non-conformities, while implementing sustainable CAPAs
Uphold rigorous standards: Ensure strict compliance with internal SOPs, GMP/GLP standards, and regulatory policies to maintain the highest benchmarks of quality
Invest in your people: Oversee the training, qualification, and competency of your staff, guaranteeing that the department is fully equipped and confident to operate across all shifts
Drive safety and sustainability: Cultivate a proactive Health & Safety environment through GEMBA walks and team reviews, while ensuring the environmentally responsible handling of hazardous materials
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field (or an internationally obtained degree with a recognized Canadian equivalency)
5–7 years of experience in a similar Quality Control Supervisor role or related capacity, ideally within a manufacturing or laboratory environment
A clear understanding of Data Integrity and ALCOA principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original and Accurate)
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential, as the role involves frequent interactions with employees and clients
Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to demonstrate effective interdepartmental collaboration across the organization
Nice to have
Prior experience specifically within cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Familiarity with managing LIMS systems
