Job Description

The Laboratory Specialist is part of the team for the LNG Bunkering Project, a key initiative within OQEP and company transition strategy. They will report directly to the Commissioning & Start-up Methods Lead.

Job Responsibility

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of preparing all necessary laboratory equipment, Manuals and Operating Procedures
  • Ensuring the laboratory is available and fully operational for plant Start-up: personnel, equipment and adequate supply of chemicals and consumables
  • Develop and implement the permanent Laboratory Information Management System
  • Ensure mentorship and training of the routine operation laboratory personnel

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)
  • +15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a full understanding of laboratory activities and procedures, expertise in laboratory discipline
  • + 5 years in an LNG plant laboratory in a supervisory role in a multi-cultural environment

Nice to have

  • Arabic is a plus
  • Experience in projects with large onshore plants and LNG plants is a plus
