As our Laboratory Point of Care Coordinator, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive point-of-care testing (POCT) programs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Every day you will oversee the full lifecycle of POCT devices, from validation and maintenance to quality control. You will serve as the primary resource for all POCT activities, providing training and competency assessment for clinical staff, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will also monitor performance, identify improvements, and collaborate with clinical departments to optimize POCT integration. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong clinical laboratory background with POCT expertise, understand regulatory requirements, and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and teaching skills.
Job Responsibility
Lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive point-of-care testing (POCT) programs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
Oversee the full lifecycle of POCT devices, from validation and maintenance to quality control
Serve as the primary resource for all POCT activities, providing training and competency assessment for clinical staff
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Monitor performance, identify improvements, and collaborate with clinical departments to optimize POCT integration
Maintain routine daily operation of point of care functions, including production and dissemination of various reports to hospital leadership
Train key operators
Identify and resolve POC issues
Maintain all POC support tickets
Represent on projects impacting the POC during design, implementation and maintenance phases
Responsible for POC equipment and oversight of maintenance
Ensure POC ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies
Requirements
Bachelors Of Science biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA and 2 years clinical laboratory experience
Experience with Google management suite of tools
