Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, meticulous, and conscientious candidate with hands-on lab experience to join our team as a Laboratory Operations Assistant. You will contribute to the discovery of therapeutic antibodies from natural immune repertoires, and through teamwork, innovation, and mutual support, together we tackle the most challenging scientific problems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintaining the lab spaces and restocking supplies
  • Preparing, labelling and aliquoting common reagents and disinfectants
  • Maintaining inventories for consumables and reagents, including ordering, restocking and organizing the distribution of materials using an inventory management system
  • Handling of hazardous waste and coordination with vendors for pickup
  • Collecting and distributing lab coat laundry
  • Maintaining core lab equipment including freezers, pipettes, and incubators
  • Adhering to detailed SOPs ensuring all tasks meet GxP requirements
  • Coordinating activities with Lab Management and Scientific teams
  • Maintaining a safe and productive work environment and lab facility, compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the team whenever an extra pair of hands is needed

Requirements:

  • Able to work autonomously and take pride in being self-motivated
  • Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment with multiple competing priorities
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a research environment
  • Fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills, and are known for accountability and reliability
  • Able to lift up to 25 kg, and are comfortable with long periods of standing and bending throughout your day
