We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Laboratory Manager – High Voltage Testing 80 - 100% (f/m/d) to oversee our laboratory operations in Zürich. Job Responsibility:
Act as the primary point of contact for HV testing
manage resources, recruitment, and professional development for the laboratory team
Ensure high-volume output through reliable testing procedures, including AC, DC, impulse, and partial discharge testing
Collaborate with Process Engineering to identify and integrate emerging technologies and best practices
Uphold rigorous safety and quality standards in accordance with IEC/IEEE and ISO regulations
Partner with Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Production departments to ensure holistic process design and seamless workflow
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting directly to the Operations Manager to drive data-driven decision-making
Ensure all internal and external regulations, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, are strictly followed
Requirements:
Technical apprenticeship followed by a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Several years of proven experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams, ideally within high-voltage testing, insulation technology, or power engineering
Solid knowledge of high-voltage systems, generators, and automation systems
Strong command of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other process optimization frameworks
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset
