We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Laboratory Manager – High Voltage Testing 80 - 100% (f/m/d) to oversee our laboratory operations in Zürich. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team to strengthen our global competitiveness and scale our Swiss operations to meet the surging demands of the international energy market. Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HV testing
  • manage resources, recruitment, and professional development for the laboratory team
  • Ensure high-volume output through reliable testing procedures, including AC, DC, impulse, and partial discharge testing
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering to identify and integrate emerging technologies and best practices
  • Uphold rigorous safety and quality standards in accordance with IEC/IEEE and ISO regulations
  • Partner with Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Production departments to ensure holistic process design and seamless workflow
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting directly to the Operations Manager to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure all internal and external regulations, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, are strictly followed

Requirements:

  • Technical apprenticeship followed by a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of proven experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams, ideally within high-voltage testing, insulation technology, or power engineering
  • Solid knowledge of high-voltage systems, generators, and automation systems
  • Strong command of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other process optimization frameworks
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory
