Job Description:

The position is home based in France with regular travel (60%-80%) to customer sites across the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on laboratory instruments, as well as the refurbishment of instruments
  • Effectively communicate with customers before going on site and account team members to troubleshoot, diagnose, provide repair updates, train end-users, and ensure full resolution of all customer needs
  • Serve as a member of the customer account team by contributing your technical expertise to resolve customer questions, troubleshoot customer issues, and identify additional opportunities to serve our customers

Requirements:

  • 3 years of Field Service experience is required
  • Valid Drivers licence
  • Fluent English and French is essential
  • Ability to work independently and comfortable with travel

  • Take ownership of cases assigned, driving & delivering high quality service resolution
  • Provide timely onsite support to address service repair issues at customer sites according to contract prioritization
  • Ensure the timely completion of all required service documentation
  • Follow up with customers regarding instrument performance post service intervention
  • Communicate proactively and share information with field team members, Service Operation team, Technical Service and Customer Service teams, in addition to other support functions
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, and repair work on analytical laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Effectively and safely utilize test equipment, hand tools and power tools when needed
  • Responsible for documentation as required by company policy, cGMP, ISO, Regulatory agencies
  • Support the loading and updating of software, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and Pre-staging of new equipment
  • Monitor personal parts stock, test equipment and test tools inventory to ensure proper levels and current calibration certificates are readily available for typical servicing of instruments
