Job Description:

The Research & Development Services team leads the management of R&D laboratories and associated equipment to ensure the safety, compliance and smooth operations of local R&D laboratories. As a Lab Cleaner you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of our BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories, managing waste collection, and oversee the stocking of common consumables.

Job Responsibility:

regular cleaning of the BSL1 & BSL2 laboratories according to the hygiene plan
waste management, including collection and disposal
managing lab coats, including adequate supply, collection, and cleaning
operating and monitoring of dishwasher, drying furnace, and autoclaves
maintaining a stock of common lab consumables
supporting pipettes calibration
participating in the on-call services for the CTU excursion
cleaning dry ice area

Requirements:

proven experience in a cleaning or laboratory environment
physically fit
willing to regularly lift heavy waste bins and work with potentially infectious biological material
B2-level proficiency in both German and English
strong skills in MS Excel and the Google Suite

Nice to have:

Hep B vaccination
relevant experience in a cleaner or laboratory environment
