The Laboratory Calibration Engineer performs calibrations and intermediate checks by following approved work instructions and standard methods. The role focuses on accurate measurement execution, careful handling of equipment, proper documentation, and adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 and TCL procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Performs instrument and equipment calibrations with precision, following established procedures and industry standards
Reviews and verifies calibration records for format, accuracy, and completeness before submission
Flags anomalies, out-of-tolerance results, or equipment malfunctions and escalate to the Senior Calibration Engineer for disposition
Supports routine preventive maintenance tasks for reference standards, including cleaning, visual checks, and status
Assists in scheduling and status tracking for incoming UUTs and calibration queues to maintain throughput
Participates in proficiency studies and intermediate checks
collect and analyze data, and provide actionable feedback on procedures and tooling ergonomics
Recommends improvement to labeling, documentation, and workstation layout using 5S principles, supporting continuous improvement initiative.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical field
Foundational knowledge of metrology/measurement science and test & measurement equipment (e.g., DMMs, calibrators, signal sources)
Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 fundamentals and ISO 9001 concepts
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn calibration-related software and data entry tools
Strong attention to detail, discipline in following procedures, and sense of urgency for commitments.
Nice to have:
Basic programming familiarity (e.g., Python or VBA) for data handling is a plus (not required)
Clear written and verbal communication

Goal‑oriented, assertive in raising issues, and committed to continuous improvement
Sound problem‑solving and decision‑making within defined procedures and escalation paths.
