Job Description

We are currently seeking a Business Unit Manager for the Mackay Laboratory. As the Laboratory Business Unit Manager, the areas of focus of your role will be to manage the operations of the laboratory, driving a positive Health, Safety and Environment culture, managing quality processes and systems, business development and key account management, financial management and team management.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge in the applications of Quality Systems
  • Business management experience in a technical and service orientated environment
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the application of commercial models, systems and processes
  • The ability to effectively lead, coach, mentor and train staff
  • Tertiary Degree qualifications in Science, Geology or Chemistry or Financial discipline are ideal
  • Advanced business and operational planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage service and project delivery across functional groups
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • An understanding and commitment to QHSE requirements

Nice to have

Coal laboratory experience would be beneficial but not essential
