As a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries. Every day you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests.
Job Responsibility
Practice positive patient identification at all times, in all job functions

Establish and maintain good communication within the department and with other hospital departments
Take responsibility for the department workflow, assist all members of the team to maintain department workflow and efficiency
Create an atmosphere by manner, work and deed that fosters teamwork and collaboration
Process specimen into the lab, organized for department distribution
Move processed samples quickly to laboratory departments for testing
Handle Laboratory Send-out testing
Process, organize, packing lists and packaging for testing sent to external laboratories according to procedures
Use good judgment when problem solving and requests help when needed
Requirements

Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
Nice to have
Certificate Other Lab Assistant Program 6 months experience in an acute care facility, upon hire
