As our Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries. Every day, you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests. Job Responsibility
Assist with specimen processing, including labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting
Prepare reagents and solutions according to established protocols
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning
Perform routine lab tasks such as washing glassware, sterilizing instruments, and preparing culture media
Assist with data entry and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
Assist with other tasks as assigned by the laboratory supervisor
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
California Phlebotomy Technician License (CA PHLEB Lic)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS)
Fire Safety Card required (must obtain 90 days from hire date)
Nice to have
Lab Assistant Program certification
Phlebotomy program certificate
Six months of experience in an acute care facility
