Job Description:

This is a 3-year Laboratory Apprenticeship Programme combining part time learning and work placement at Pfizer's Grange Castle site. The apprentice will work 3 days per week in the high-tech Laboratory and spend 2 contact days per week with education partner, Technology University Dublin. The programme leads to an Ordinary Bachelor of Science Degree – Laboratory Analyst (Level 7).

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out basic laboratory duties that may include sample collection, equipment calibration, solution preparation, stock control and glassware maintenance
  • Conducting both basic and advanced analytical testing methods (e.g., chromatography, water, and microbiological testing) on raw materials, in-process or finished product
  • Gaining more working exposure to various Quality Systems
  • All work to be conducted and recorded in accordance with good laboratory practice

Requirements:

  • Pass (Grade O6 or better) in five leaving certificate subjects, two of which must be maths and a science subject
  • 250 CAO points
  • Relevant FETAC Level 5 or Level 6 Graduate
  • Current employee with relevant experience and qualifications

  • SOLAS apprentice approval (only necessary if you are offered a role)
