Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
Experience in laboratory operations including equipment calibration, chemical stock management, and sample analysis
Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO)
Proficiency in data management systems such as JDE and MAPPS
Experience in quality testing methods for malt and barley (e.g., COA generation, intake testing)
Strong communication skills for daily meetings, audits, and customer interactions
Organizational and administrative ability to manage data, generate POs, and support stock management

Job Responsibility

Support the day to day running of the lab and the coordination of intake operations prior to, during and post-harvest
Ensure all lab equipment is maintained, cleaned and tested appropriately
Assist the Production Manager with tasks such as plant and process checks, administration, BOPEX meetings, preparation and participation in other audits and site visits
Work closely with Plant & Production Manager to ensure health & safety is the top priority on site
Collaborate with Production Manager and Quality Team to maintain food safety compliance
Support monthly due diligence testing program to uphold compliance standards
Participation in RCFAs (Root Cause Failure Analysis)
Conduct GEMBA walks to monitor workplace practices and safety
Day-to-day running of the lab ensuring smooth operations
Support malt analysis & COA generation (Certificates of Analysis)
