Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a highly qualified associate to join its expanding Labor & Employment Litigation practice in Seattle. The position will be responsible for researching federal, state, and local employment laws and providing strategic thinking in avoiding and resolving employment disputes.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting in all aspects of class action and single-plaintiff litigation and administrative charge work
Preparing position statements
Evaluating claims
Preparing for mediations, discovery, depositions
Drafting motions
Preparing cases for arbitration and trial
Researching federal, state, and local employment laws
Providing strategic thinking in avoiding and resolving employment disputes
Counseling HR professionals and business executives on compliance with employment laws
Drafting employment agreements
Requirements:
2 to 5 years of relevant Labor & Employment Litigation experience
