We are looking for a skilled Labor and Employment Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This position requires a proactive individual with expertise in litigation processes and employment law to support attorneys in managing a variety of legal tasks. Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive assistance to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
Handle document management tasks such as collection, review, production, and tracking during discovery
Prepare essential trial materials, including deposition binders, exhibits, and witness files
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring deadlines and court schedules are carefully managed
Coordinate communications with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors to facilitate smooth case progression
Draft and file legal documents with state and federal courts, adhering to all procedural requirements
Assist in compiling employment-related administrative filings and compliance documentation as needed
Monitor and utilize case management software to ensure efficient tracking and reporting of case details
Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing key materials and providing logistical assistance
Contribute to resolving backlog work by managing assigned priorities effectively
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on labor and employment law
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and discovery processes
Proficiency in drafting and filing legal documents in both state and federal courts
Experience in preparing trial materials, including exhibits and witness files
Familiarity with case management software for tracking and organizing case details
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage deadlines and complex case files
Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and external parties
Knowledge of labor and employment law is strongly preferred
