Job Description

We are adding an experienced labor and employment attorney to partner with HR and leadership on employee matters and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role works cross-functionally to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Advise on multistate and federal employment law (employee relations, terminations, leaves, wage & hour, investigations, etc.)
  • Partner with HR to assess and improve policies, practices, and compliance
  • Develop policies, trainings, and employment agreements
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Lead internal investigations and manage employment litigation (including outside counsel)
  • Communicate legal guidance clearly to business stakeholders

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership
  • At least 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations
  • Proven expertise in both unionized and non-unionized work environments
  • Strong skills in civil litigation, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery processes
  • Exceptional communication and judgment for managing relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment

Nice to have

Experience in immigration and payroll law is a plus
