The main function of the lab technician role will be to perform a variety of routine laboratory operations to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of a variety of materials. The lab technician may work in one or more of the roles described below. All roles require logging and setup of samples, working in the laboratory to gather results, and recording the results consistently and accurately in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate would collaborate effectively with teammates to complete interdependent tasks in a timely manner and take part in troubleshooting challenges when needed.

Perform a variety of routine lab operations to assist a team processing more than 100,000 samples annually for detection of Legionella
Work with technical direction from supervisor
Data Entry of customer and sample information
File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
Respond to incoming correspondence, including email and phone messages
Light laboratory tasks such as storing and disposal of completed samples
Filter and plate water samples according to ISO standard method
