Lab Technician

• Supporting the formulation and assembly of products for R&D
• Buffer and simple solution formulations
• Operation of assembly equipment such as heat sealers and ultrasonic welders
• Lab maintenance and organization
• Data entry
• File maintenance
• General lab cleaning including lab supplies and glassware
• Generating labels from templates and labeling/packaging materials
• Curating reagent and material inventories

• High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year laboratory experience
• AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year laboratory experience
• BS degree in a scientific discipline
• Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong time management skills required
• Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
• Familiarity with MS Excel is required
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures with a keen awareness of aseptic technique in material formulations and consumable assembly
• Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred
• Must follow all BD housekeeping and safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
